Destroy all Codes Outside Music
Destroy all Codesis about layers of sound. Setting a mood! It is a solid take on freeform musical construction. Wherever you go there seems to be a hunger for atmospheric music, tunes that set a vibe for an evening.
In the metrosexual Western world, a look towards the East for inspiration, odd tuning and intense rhythms has been taking hold - intentional or not. Not sure if that’s what’s going with Destroy All Codes, but what is certain is the band has evolved into a futuristic trance group, where layers of sound are used to give your heart a boost, get the blood pumping, all without having to leave the comfort of your sofa.
KCS has worked in film and television as well, appearing on soundtracks, and composing scores for short films. These guys know music and how to hook people into what they’re doing. Destroy All Codes focuses on the band’s beat-heavy live performances, and continues to build on the band’s affection for funk, hip-hop and jazz.
The rhythm section is very dominant, as it is on most funk, hip-hop and jazz albums; it really drives the music and keeps the base nature of all human beings happy.
Destroy All Codesworks perfectly at a party with some booze (and yes, even some weed being passed around wouldn’t hurt) lying around for a little mental release from whatever it is you do to pay the bills. It’s a fun release, keeping your mind attentive as you and your probably zooed friends talk about stuff and chill out.
